Getting started with AirportFusion
AirportFusion finds direct flights between airport zones: instead of asking you which airport you fly from, it asks where you actually are and where you actually want to go — then it checks every airport around both points. Here is how to run your first search.
1. Enter two addresses
On the home page, fill in the two search fields:
- From — any street address, city, village, landmark or even raw coordinates like
48.85, 2.35. - To — same idea, for where you want to end up.
You do not need to know any airport codes. "23 Baker Street, London", "Lyon", "Lake Como" and "Brooklyn Bridge" are all valid inputs.
2. Choose your search radii
Next to each address you pick a radius — how far around that point we should look for airports:
- 50–100 km — you only want truly local airports.
- 150–300 km — the sweet spot for most searches: it captures the cheaper secondary airports that airlines love.
- 500–1000 km — exploratory mode: "somewhere in that part of the world".
The origin and destination radii are independent, so you can search tightly around home but widely around your destination.
3. Optional: date and passengers
Add a departure date and the number of passengers if you have them. They refine the estimates but are not required — leave the date empty to explore route options first.
4. Read the results
Each result card is a complete door-to-door route:
- the origin airport and how to get there (car, taxi, train, bus… with estimated time and cost),
- the direct flight with airline, estimated duration and estimated price,
- the destination airport and the ground leg to your final address,
- totals — one combined door-to-door time and cost,
- a score from 0 to 10 balancing time, cost and simplicity.
Routes are sorted by score, best first. If the AI advisor is enabled you will also see a short recommendation explaining which route fits your trip best — with pros, cons and one practical tip.
5. Book on partner sites
Buttons like "Book flight" or "Book hotel" take you to partner websites where the actual booking happens. Prices shown on AirportFusion are estimates — always check the final price on the booking site. Some of these are affiliate links; see our Affiliate Disclosure.
6. Create a free account (optional)
With a free account you can save searches, revisit past results and — if you are a developer — create API keys to integrate AirportFusion into your own product. See the "API quickstart" help article.
Common questions
- No results? Try a bigger radius, or check the spelling of your addresses. Some regions simply have no direct routes between them.
- Why only direct flights? That is the product's promise — see "How search works" for the reasoning.
- Are prices real? They are estimates. See "Understanding estimates".
